TEST VALLEY ROCK SCHOOL YOUTH DAY
( Taken during the sound check for the Youth Day on 19th October) During the YOUTH DAY events students work as a band member under the supervision of an experienced musician and attend various instrument or vocal workshops. Help and advice is on hand on instrument care/maintenance and all aspects of "playing in a band". The culmination of the work is a a concert on the Saturday evening with full professional sound, light, smoke etc including a stage crew and an enthusiastic audience. This event is recorded and videoed. ROCK SCHOOL FOR ADULTS
( Taken during the sound check for the Adult Day on 28th September) There are many adults who play instruments or sing who do not get the chance to play with other people any more. The aim of the adult events are to bring these people together to provide just such an opportunity. The adult rock school is a one day event ending with an informal performance of work developed during the day combined with a social evening with supper and a drink available. The organisers welcome those with no previous experience as well as the seasoned performers. We have also supported many other events in the Test Valley area. Currently we are involved with Harrow Way Community School were we hold our events. Pupils from the school come along to a 'Rock Music' club on Thursday afternoons and receive tuition from Rob Robinson. Andover Rock Academy is held every Thursday night at Harrow Way School and features many youngsters who have come from the T.V.R.Sch. and now have reached a more advanced level of playing. Test Valley Rock School are grateful for the support they receive from Test Valley Borough Council.
